9-year-old Kirian successfully passed his first amateur radio exam (the entry-level class N) on Friday, June 26, 2026, making him the youngest radio amateur in Germany. You will hear him under his own call sign DN9KI or under DD1LD/T in CW, SSB, FM and digital modes.

Furthermore, at the age of 8, he mastered his first XOTA activation in CW (read HERE) and his first CW contest. This makes him the youngest CW telegrapher in Germany and one of the youngest worldwide!💪
